Pastor Tom Maurer
Pastor Thomas R. Maurer was born September 15, 1973 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. His parents Pastor Bob and Annette Maurer were in the gospel ministry, so he grew up in a Christian home. At the age of six, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior during a Vacation Bible School at a friends church. At the of ten, he was baptized. Although he felt called to fulltime ministry when a child, he finally surrendered at the age of sixteen. Upon graduating from Huntingdon Christian Academy he attended Appalachian Bible College where he studied the Bible with a minor in missions. He earned his Bachelor's in 1995, and was ordained in January of 1996.
On May 31, 1997; Tom married the love of his life Jeryl, and they have five children: Lincoln, Caleb, Abby, Jaala, and Micah. Pastor Tom has served churches in Pennsylvania, Nebraska, and Virginia. He has also preached at Special Activities, Revival Services, Festivals and High School Baccalaureates. He also teaches Middle School and High School Bible Classes at Mercer Christian Academy in Princeton, West Virginia and is an assistant Varsity Basketball Coach. Pastor Tom also serves as chaplain for the Bland County Rescue Squad and the Bland County Sheriff's Department. Tom's life verse is:
